Minimum credits for any degree or certificate
90 upper division credit for a bachelor’s degree OR 90 credits for AAS, AAS-T, DTA/MRP, OR 45 credits for Cert. of Proficiency OR as required for other certificates.
Minimum credits for student’s specific program
Student must have the total credits required to graduate.
30% of technical courses must be taken at LWTech (100% of courses for Certificates of Completion).
At least 20 credits for AAS, AAS-T, DTA/MRP OR 15 for Certificates of Proficiency – individual programs have specific, published requirements.
Every required class must have a grade of at least 2.0.
Contact course instructor(s) to resolve incomplete grades.
Waivers or substitutions
Must be approved by an instructional dean and filed with Enrollment Services.
Check with financial aid office to verify the impact requesting this degree or certificate may have on future financial aid.
Congratulations! You are ready to graduate.
When you are ready to complete your degree or certificate program, you must submit several forms, along with your Graduation Application, Degree Audit, and the Graduation Survey. Please follow the steps below to complete all graduation requirements.
STEP 1: GRADUATION APPLICATION
Download and fill out the Graduation Application.
STEP 2: DEGREE AUDIT
Complete the online Degree Audit form. You will need your Student ID and PIN. When you are done filling out the form, download it for Step 4.
STEP 3: GRADUATION SURVEY
As a recent graduate of Lake Washington Institute of Technology we are interested in hearing about your experiences. Download and complete the Graduation Survey.
STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR FORMS
Print and bring all your filled forms to Enrollment Services in West Building, W201.
The graduation application is also available at the Information Desk in the West Building.
Step 5: Commencement
Commencement is the annual June college celebration of graduates and applicants for graduation. Attending commencement does not guarantee you have graduated. If you want to attend the annual commencement ceremony on June 17, 2016, please visit Commencement Ceremony for more details. Applying for your Degree or Certificate does not register you for the commencement ceremony. Students intending to complete their program in the Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer before or the Summer after may participate in the commencement ceremony.
